NEW SMYRNA BEACH — The first of eight planned buildings at the new 84-unit Messina Luxury Apartment Homes complex at Venetian Bay is now finished and ready for move-in.
"The last time I checked, we had over 30 renters," said Zachary Bass, a spokesman for Geosam Capital, the New Smyrna Beach project's developer.
The first building, at 431 Luna Bella Lane, across from Venetian Bay's Town Center, offers 36 apartments, all two- or three-bedroom units.
A second 36-unit building is set to open July 1, Bass said. Six smaller buildings are also planned.
Rents range from $999 to $1,350 a month, Bass said. One of the big draws, he said, is the amenities that come with the units. All tenants receive free membership to a fitness center that will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as to the complex's pool and tiki bar area.
The project, at the northeast corner of Luna Bella Lane and Medici Boulevard, broke ground in September.
Geosam is the master developer for the 1,425-acre master-planned community, just west of Interstate 95, between State Road 44 and Pioneer Trail.
